This website has been created using free software tools only, from Linux Debian distribution.

We have tried to create an informational and functional website that is rendered correctly in the majority of web browsers available. Whether it may not be the most fashionable website on the net, we have preferred to code it ourselves from a simple text editor starting from scratch. This way, we got to test our XHTML & CSS knowledge. It has been a very fun and enriching task.

We have used the following software applications:

• The GIMP, a powerful image editor. With this app we have created the logo and the background, and we have modified all the pictures that appear on the website.

• Quanta +, is a practical HTML - XHTML editor based on KDE which also uses plugins that allow correcting source code syntax to comply with W3C standards, among other useful functions.

We have tested this web site on the following web browsers:

• Mozilla Firefox
• Galeon
• Konqueror, the KDE environment web browser
• Dillo, a simple web browser written in C
• Safari, a neat web browser for Mac users

The design of this website is conceived so as to make it possible for a large number of different web browser to render the pages correctly. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer 6 user will not see images rendered in their correct format, for there will be a white background instead of a transparent and more elegant one. We hope that future versions of this popular web browser are improved and enable PNG native image rendering so as to solve this problem. If you want to have a more complete, customizable and secure Internet experience, we recommend the use of other web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox.
